Welcome to the Umali Awards website!

Here you can find lots of information about my continuing project, the Umali Awards. First and foremost, the Umali Awards is an awards show where the awards handed out relate to how I've lived my life during the previous year. Categories include: How I Like My Eggs, Best Dining Out Experience, Best Day. Also, the Top 10 people I spoke to (measured by how many days in which I spoke to that person) are announced and recognized. The Umali Awards is a party, a reason to get dressed up, an art event, and one the major ways I express this data-keeping project.

This site is part historical record / part experiment. Here you can find a list of all the previous nominees and winners of every category (yes, even the controversial "Umali Award for Best Answering Machine Message"). Here you can also find a way to participate by voting your choice for Best Day and Best Dining Out Experience of 2008.
